A journey of discovery

I love on life's journey when you bump into signposts that signal you're heading in the right direction. This happened to me c2019 when a friend introduced me to the Slow Your Home podcast. From here I found so many other fabulous podcasts, websites, social media accounts, books and more that led me on a wonderful journey of discovery. I felt heartened to have found like-minded people.

What it also helped me realise is that Pinch River is intended for the slow movement and it helped me define the direction I want to take my business in - as it is in itself an extension of who I am and what I believe in. You will find this realisation woven through the words I have used throughout the site and more so in the products on offer. Making is a slow process - planning, cutting and sewing. Designing is a slow process, from concept through to finished design takes time and cannot be rushed.

But in regards to the big-picture, one of the key take-aways from listening to the Slow Your Home podcast is that 'once you see you can't unsee', and as I know this to be true for me I want to share this with all the lovely people that stop by my website and read my blog.... in fact I want to shout it out from the mountain top!  Mostly I believe that if you've found your way here you have 'seen' the beauty of life through this lens and seek like-minded people to connect with online. Or you're looking for something but don't quite know exactly what it is, and just like with me, once you find one breadcrumb you will find more and these will open you up to a deeper connection in life, a life lived with intention and awareness because once you see you can't unsee, and if the whole world could see through this lens then it would be a truly harmonious place.

So what I ask is that you pay attention to the world around you. Notice the changing seasons. Notice how the light changes with every season. Notice the birds. Notice the insects. Notice how nature responds to the changing seasons. Notice the rhythm of the planet. Notice the good people doing good things. Live with intention. Do no harm. Share the magic with those you love.
